In this project, I was provided a pre-modeled scene to light and texture. The programs used throughout the project were Maya, RenderMan, Photoshop and Nuke. From this project, I was able to understand how to learn new tools and utilize RenderMan's lights to their full potential, such as the cookie light to produce the shadow of the tree. The textures for the books and table were provided, however the textures for the pulley and scraper were UV'd and then textured in Photoshop by myself. From this project, I was able to understand how to utilize a node system for fine tuning within the scene to give more control over the materials, such as alpha maps that gave more dynamic control of the texture maps. I gave the scene a Fallout Theme by practicing with pxrLayer nodes. The scene was rendered with RenderMan using the renderLayers tool within Maya with multiple passes of different channel maps. The final render was post processed within Nuke resulting in a two renders, one that represented the reference and a modified render that gave more creative freedom.
The assets within the scene were modeled and provided by Full Sail University and in no part mine.
